This modules presents SatCom services applicable for various purposes and in diverse circumstances. A wide range of SatCom services is discussed, including Internet connectivity, reach-back and backup connectivity, crisis communications, military solutions, B2B communications, backhauling connectivity, in-motion communications, UAV video and data communication and IoT communications. Demonstration videos show how satellite communication is established using various terminals and dedicated equipment. This module also addresses new technology developments and trends in the field of SatCom. These include DTP (Digital Transparent Processor), SDR (Software-defined Radio), optical link and mega constellations.
